What does the StudyTour Committee do?

The StudyTour Committee is responsible for organizing the entire annual intercontinental StudyTour for 25 students. This trip lasts two weeks and combines business, culture, and social activities.

The committee's main responsibilities involve choosing an original and attractive intercontinental destination, the coming edition is planned for South Korea. Key tasks include arranging three company visits (one in the Netherlands and two in South Korea) and effectively promoting the StudyTour to secure the required number of registrants. Furthermore, the committee handles all logistics, such as booking the perfect flights and hostels, planning informal activities, and ultimately guiding and coordinating the group during the two-week trip abroad.

What do you learn?
Being part of the StudyTour Committee offers unique and valuable learning opportunities. You significantly develop your organizational skills, expand your network, and improve your soft skills. The experience focuses on mastering the end-to-end logistics, planning, and execution of a complex, long-haul trip. Specifically, you gain experience in international business contact, including reaching out to and arranging visits with companies in Korea. As all decisions are made collectively, you will also excel as a real team player in coordination and project management.

How much time does it take?
The StudyTour Committee requires a consistent time investment throughout the year to ensure a smooth planning process. A weekly meeting is held to discuss progress and coordinate tasks. The workload is very consistent and you will spend approximately 1 to 2 hours per week on committee tasks. During the StudyTour itself, your main responsibility is to coordinate the group and enjoy the trip!
